Available from App Store - 21 September 2009
The latest version of Scroll Driver Lite uses Open Feint .
Open Feint is a community chat/leader-board system, which is something that we are experimenting with and are unsure of how it will be received by everyone. As long as there is a network connection (Wi-Fi or 3/2G), people should be able to use it to chat with other Scroll Driver players. Also, our first release of this will include a 5 Kilometre leader board. Create an account and login (right in Scroll Driver Lite), it will automatically allow you to connect with other players. - Version 2.0.0 of Scroll Driver Lite
Uploaded to App Store - 21 August 2009
Finally! After a series of internal updates version 2.0.0 of Scroll Driver Lite has been uploaded to App Store. A whole new set of features have been added.
- Longer playtime
- Opponent vehicles
- Better collision detection
- Improved navigation
The research behind Scroll Driver Lite focuses on the ability to implement dynamic game balancing (DGB). Version 2.0.0 is currently set to medium to hard; meaning that with a little patience, a player should be able to complete the course within 80 seconds without too much difficulty.
The idea is to travel 5 kilometres without bumping into any other cars or trees. The accelerometer is used to move the player’s car left or right, and fast and slow.
There are close to a million downloads of Scroll Driver Lite, and this version was developed in response to the player feedback that appeared on the Apple App Store reviews.
